The American Students’ Fund proudly salutes our national advisory board member, Mrs. Deborah Phelps, for her son Michael’s recent victories in the Beijing Olympics. We all watched with great pride as Michael swam each event and shared the joy that Deborah exuded with each victory. We wish both she and Michael the very best during this very exciting and historic period in their lives.

Deborah Phelps has been a member of the American Students’ Fund National Advisory Board since 2005. Since first learning of the CR13 character-building program for public school communities, Deborah has been an avid supporter of the cause. She has been the principal of Windsor Mill Middle School, in Baltimore County, Maryland, since its opening in 2006, and the American Students’ Fund flag has flown proudly over the schoolhouse every day. Character-building is an integral part of everyday life at Windsor Mill and the ASF is looking forward to our continued work with Deborah as she leads the school in implementing new CR13 initiatives this year.

Thank you, Deborah for all you have meant to the American Students’ Fund!

Thoughts from Deborah about the CR13 program:

"When you take a look at the American Students' Fund, and think about the uniqueness of the program, what's really special is how it is embedded through, not only the middle school, but also in the elementary and high school. The thirteen character traits, elected by the students of our community high school, that we wear so proudly on our official Windsor Mill Middle Wear, symbolizes the values that our school celebrates on a daily basis - not only on our school campus, but also throughout the community.
