The Character Education Partnership (CEP) is a coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to developing moral character and civic virtue in our nation’s youth. The American Students’ Fund has been mindful of CEP’s “11 Principles of Effective Character Education” throughout the development of our program.

The Search Institute
The Search Institute is an organization that was founded “to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities.” Its work centers on the framework of “40 Developmental Assets,” which are positive experiences and personal qualities that young people need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. The ASF initiative fosters all 40 of these assets.
