After the traits election, the ASF challenges students to establish a character endowment that will annually award 13 scholarships to those students who most reflect the spirit of each school's chosen traits regardless of grade point average. As all American high schools join our flagship schools in achieving the ASF dream, individual school endowments will be pooled into a national mutual fund to form a historic national scholarship endowment to be known as the American Students' Fund. This fund will reward current and future high school students for stellar character as defined by each unique American high school community. Our ASF national flagship schools will forever be distinguished as those that inspired all American high schools to unite in this historic endeavor.
ASF is committed to helping young American students build their individual school endowments, and will do so through:
- Continually updating our website to provide suggestions and guidelines as to how students can begin to raise funds.
- Periodically offering matching funds challenges to schools. During these times, the ASF headquarters will match funds raised by students.
- Partnering with a national financial entity that will become the nationwide keeper and trustee of all funds raised by individual American high schools. Via the internet, this partner will provide students the opportunity to track the progress of not only the growth activity of their school's individual endowment but also observe that of other American high schools.
- Enlisting the support of national corporate and private entities that will support the ASF initiatives in schools that need the most help.
