Linda Lou Sanders' life was changed forever when she received the news that her beloved husband, David - a teacher of 25 years at Columbine High School - had lost his life in the tragic shootings on April 20, 1999. Because Dave exemplified unwavering dedication and concern for each and every student who sat in his classroom, she joins us to carry his legacy forward. She hopes that as a result of her involvement with the American Students' Fund, all educators will be inspired to follow his example of leadership and selflessness that he demonstrated up until the day he died, as he placed himself in harm's way in order to save the lives of hundreds of students at Columbine. Mrs. Sanders has written a book along with Marilyn Saltzman about Dave's life entitled, Dave Sanders, Columbine Teacher, Coach, Hero. It will be available the summer of 2004. She has three daughters, Angie, Cindi and Coni.
