Jennifer Mendoza Diamond was born in Arequipa, Peru. She co-founded Hands Across the Americas, Inc. in 1996. Growing up in South America, Jennifer saw first-hand impoverished people, suffering from malnutrition and disease. She decided to answer her calling and give back to those less fortunate in her homeland.
