
Candy Carson graduated from Yale with a BA in music, and the Johns Hopkins University with a Masters of Administrative Science. She has performed and conducted in the Americas, Europe, Australia and the Orient-having founded and arranged for instrumental ensembles in the states and Australia. Currently she conducts the University of Maryland Medical Center Chamber Players, Spencerville Adult String Ensemble. The family quartet, consisting of Candy and her three sons, has performed in the US and Canada. Candy serves on various charitable boards including the Carson Scholars Fund, which she co-founded with her husband, Dr. Ben Carson.
